Millerton, N.Y. (PRWEB) June 18, 2005
-- The O'Halloran Co. Feelin' Your Oats Fashion Show benefiting,
the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation at TRF's Exceller
Farm in Poughquag, N.Y., captivated the audience on Saturday,
June 11. Fashion editors and photographers, a who"s
who of the equestrian crowd, O"Halloran aficionados,
and media were wowed by the runway showcase of Cathleen
Cordova"s most inspired collection to date.
Kicking off with an Italian wool plaid
suit with side pleated skirt and three button cutaway
jacket, it was clear that Cordova"s genius use of
fabric and equestrian inspired haute couture design had
hit full canter. Comprising wool, silk, tulle, taffeta,
cashmere, and suede, the collection ran the gamut of silk
stock shirts, swirling wool paisley dusters, beaded evening
wear, tapestry boleros, tiered skirts, wool bustiers,
rouched pants, vintage breeches, and signature leather
accessories.
The perfectly orchestrated tent event
was in synch with Mother Nature"s sound effects.
Thunder claps resonated, along with crowd approval, for
some of the most popular ensembles. From the feathered
shift dress to the stage stop jacket -- a red wool paisley
riding style jacket, the clarity of Cordova"s purposeful
design was evident. "I want my client to love what
she wears and have it reflect her lifestyle," Cordova
said." She offered up a full line of the finest fashion
that women can wear comfortably. "I know women go
from activities like a daytime riding event to an exclusive
evening affair. I design to keep her stylish and comfortable
no matter where she"s headed."
Michele Oren, Thoroughbred Retirement
Foundation"s Director, said, "I"ve known
Cathleen Cordova for years and was delighted to have her
contribute to our fundraising efforts this year in such
a significant way with this fabulous show."
The audience responded with a collective
gasp and thunderous applause when the grand finale hooded
wedding dress in quilted silk over white leather pants
shimmered down the runway.
