LAHORE: Various fashion designers will
hold shows in major cities in Pakistan this August.
Hasan Shaharyar, a fashion designer and
choreographer, will hold fashion shows from August 17
to 18 in Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad. Depilex Vision
will organise a fashion week in Karachi in August and
a men’s fashion show in Islamabad. TV actress Ayesha Sana
will hold a fashion parade in Lahore and Maria Wasti,
a TV actress, will also hold a show in Lahore based on
the theme MidSummer Night’s Dream the same month. Fashion
icons Fareeha Altaf and Imran Qureshi will also hold shows
in Islamabad, Karachi and Lahore by the end of August.
During the past few months, a number
of fashion shows were held in Lahore with the show titled
‘Bridal waves’ at the Alhamra Cultural Complex topping
the list.
According to sources, Kamran Lashari,
Capital Development Authority (CDA) chief, will travel
to Japan in August to participate in a cultural show under
the auspices of Aichi Japan Export 2005 as the Pakistan
expo pavilion general commissioner. More than 120 countries
will participate set up pavillian the expo. TV artiste
Jamal Shah has designed the Pakistani pavilion and Fareeha
Altaf has been hired for the cultural show. Pakistan will
celebrate its national day at the expo, as will some other
countries. Top Pakistani fashion models and singers will
participate in the festival.
