The Slovenian-born jewellery designer
Lara Bohinc trained as an industrial designer in Ljubljana,

She has since collaborated with Gucci, Costume National,

as a freelance consultant for Cartier International (Lara

Which was your favourite show this season?
Yves Saint Laurent for its high-waisted silhouette and
Belle de Jour vibe; and also Viktor & Rolf for their
amazing showmanship.
Who are your favourite designers at
the moment? I like Jonathan Saunders, for the graphic
prints and body-hugging silhouette (020-7742 5483), and
Preen (020-8968 1542), for interesting detailing.
Which pair of shoes has caught your eye
recently? I have been looking for a turquoise pair of
heels for ages and now Prada has done them in crocodile
leather (020-7235 0008).
What do you wear to work? I often go
out after work, so my clothes have to carry me from morning
to evening. I wear lots of dresses (or skirts with trousers
and tops), heels or boots and, naturally, lots of jewellery.
Which are the staple pieces in your wardrobe?
A denim pencil skirt, twisted Levi's drainpipe jeans (levi.com),
Preen cords, vintage high baggy boots, Rochas stiletto
heels (rochas.com).
Which fashion rules you enjoy breaking?
I love wearing odd earrings, it gives you an asymmetric
edge. I also love mixing different colours of metals together:
gold with black gold, or silver with black gold.
Do you take vitamins or supplements?
Vitamins A, B, C, E, acidophilus, omega 3 oils, zinc,
antioxidants; then gingko, milk thistle and my absolute
favourite - ginseng royal jelly vials.
Which cosmetics would you be lost without?
Shu Uemura skincare: the cleansing oil is a make-up remover
and cleanser all in one; and the BG emulsion is like putting
on a new layer of skin. I also like Shiseido's Clé
de Peau beauty treatment mask (shiseido.co.uk), which
truly makes your skin plumped up from inside.
Who makes the best mascara? Lash Architect
by L'Oréal (loreal.co.uk), for long, thick lashes.
Lipstick? Kiehl's gloss stick in red.
(020-7240 2411; kiehls.com).
Who does your facials? The Shu Uemura
studio in Covent Garden (020-7836 5588). My skin always
feels amazing for weeks afterwards.
Who does your manicures? Since I wear
a lot of rings, and people look at my hands, I have to
make an effort, so I go to Sophie R at the Berkeley Hotel
(Wilton Place, London SW1; 020-7201 1699). Her manicure
lasts for weeks and she is one of the few who can do my
favourite 'half-moon manicure'.
What do you use in the bath? Muji's milk
bath salts
