ATLANTA, May 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Bauder
College will host its 27th annual student fashion show
and design competition on May 20, 2005. The event features
designs from Bauder College's senior design students and
graduates, who will compete for awards given by a panel
of prominent local judges. The show begins at 7:00 p.m.
at the AmericasMart Penthouse Fashion Theater, located
at 250 Spring Street.
The theme of this year's show, "FashioNation,"
organizes student designs by famous U.S. city streets,
including: Broadway, Peachtree Street, Rodeo Drive, Ocean
Avenue, Bourbon Street, and Route 66 (a 1950's inspiration).
In addition, each year students collaborate on a themed
collection with a senior fashion faculty member. This
year's group effort features all-white formal designs
themed for Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, D.C.
Judges for the fashion show include:
Randi Layne, former model and owner Catwalk Productions;
Joseph Plata, owner/fashion designer, Joseph Plata Designs;
Heidi Parikh, costume director for the Atlanta Ballet;
and Bauder Fashion Design Alumni O'Neal Wyche, assistant
designer for Heatherette, and Vanessa Henderson, owner
and designer of LaVie Designs.
Tickets to the event, which benefit student
scholarships, are $10 in advance and $15 at the door.

Leading designers such as Donna Karan,
Heatherette, Baby Phat/Phat Farm, Ecko Menswear, and Tiffany
and Co. have all tapped into the talent pool of Bauder's
graduates to meet their needs in technical design, merchandising,
