A Florida flight instructor and his Canadian student died Wednesday when a small plane crashed while attempting an emergency landing at a private airstrip, authorities said.
Daniel Richman, a 37-year-old Canadian citizen, died after being airlifted to Halifax Medical Center in Daytona Beach, the Volusia County Sheriff's Office said. Richman was the student on board the training flight, the sheriff's office said.
