China has jagged up an inch in the world's competitive fashion industry. For the first time, one of the country's designers is taking part in Paris's renowned Fashion Week. Not only is this it is a first for a Chinese designer, but Frankie Xie's label, Jefen, opened the 2007 Spring-Summer Paris Fashion Week.
The Paris debut puts Jefen among the top fashion labeled as Chanel, Christian Dior, Jean Paul Gaultier, Valentino and Givenchy, all of which would present on the official eight-day calendar of catwalk shows.
