Some Mumbai-based fashion designers variable loyalty to Delhi has managed to stir up enthusiasm in the upcoming fashion weeks. The last time the two fashion weeks, held roughly back-to-back in Mumbai and Delhi respectively, had even the country's fashionistas all 'fashioned out'. Now Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week will start the season once more from August 31 with Lakme Fashion Week subsequent from October 31.
Manish Malhotra, Falguni and Shane Peacock and Rocky S, who were some of the most sought after designers at the previous LFW held in Mumbai, have now determined to showcase their lines in Delhi. "Last year due to personal reasons we could not go to Delhi," reasons Falguni. "WIFW has translated into better business and has become a platform where the participants are selected on sheer merit."
