Warm up- with artwork- with the Spiewak ‘Sprayed and wrapped’ charity auction taking fashion to a whole new level with their customized jackets raising money for a great cause; Auckland City Mission.
Ten artists from around New Zealand have used different styles to embellish the Spiewak jackets, showing different angles of the work that the Auckland City Mission does and how people and society are affected by marginalization.
Auckland artist Gene Kirkpatrick summed up his ‘Lost Souls’ Jacket. “This work represents a journey of personal self discovery to find one’s sense of belonging. As ‘Lost Souls’, we are forever trying to find our identity, origins, what we represent, and where we fit into society. For many, life’s journey represents survival.”
