The CFDA Awards on Monday night was held at New York in front of all fashion eyes. The British Fashion Council announced this morning that London is already gearing up for its own Oscar ceremony, which is going to happen on November 2nd. This event is held for the third time in the V&A museum. This event will see fashion stars, chosen by an invited panel and would be awarded before 400 of the industry’s most famous faces.
"So far 2006 has been an incredibly exciting year," said Hilary Riva, chief executive of the BFC. "As illustrated by the Anglomania exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the world is alive with talk about British fashion.
